Blue Origin Space Mission: Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is set to travel to space with his crew on July 20. India’s daughter Sanjal Gawande is also an important part of the team that designed the rocket designed to take Bezos to space. Sanjal, 30, hails from Kolsewadi area of ​​Kalyan, Maharashtra.

Sanjal’s father is retired from Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation. While his mother has retired from MTNL. Sanjal’s mother told that her daughter was interested in the world of space since childhood.

A rocket system named ‘New Shepard’ has been designed for Blue Origin, the company of Jeff Bezos working in the field of space exploration. Sanjal is part of the team that prepared it. Commenting on the achievement, he said, “I am very happy that my childhood dream is now coming true. I am proud to be a part of Team Blue Origin.”

Completed Mechanical Engineering degree from Mumbai University

Sanjal Gawande completed Mechanical Engineering from Mumbai University in the year 2011. After this he completed his further studies from Michigan Technological University, USA. Here he studied aerospace. He completed his master’s degree in the year 2013 with first class.

He then began working at the Mercury Marine Company in Phone du Lac, Wisconsin, where he worked for two years. After that Sanjal joined Toyota Racing Development based in California. Meanwhile, Sanjal also started taking flying lessons and got an aircraft pilot’s license in June 2016.

Couldn’t get into NASA

After that Sanjal Gawande applied for admission in NASA, however, his application could not be approved due to some technical reasons regarding citizenship. After this he applied for a job in Blue Origin. Here she was selected for the position of systems engineer and is now part of the team, fulfilling this dream of Jeff Bezos and his company.
