The Bhartiya Janta Party released the 8th list of candidates for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections on Saturday. The list includes the names of 11 candidates including former IPS officer Debashish Dhar from West Bengal’s Birbhum and Preneet Kaur from Punjab’s Patiala.
Debasish Dhar, a 2010 batch IPS officer resigned from his service on March 20 to join politics. In his resignation, he wrote that due to personal reasons and to achieve social goals in his life, he is resigning.
The list includes three states West Bengal, Odisha and Punjab. The saffron party has still has not given any candidate for Diamond Harbour and Asansol seats. This time, the party has replaced actor Sunny Deol and has given Gurdaspur ticket to Dinesh Singh Babbu.
