Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday claimed that the BJP is considering replacing Jai Ram Thakur as the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh ahead of the assembly elections in the state. Addressing a press conference, he said that with the rising popularity of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal, the BJP wants to make a big difference as it fears defeat in the elections.

Sisodia claimed that we have come to know from very reliable sources that BJP wants to replace Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur with Anurag Thakur as it is afraid of Arvind Kejriwal’s popularity and his model of governance in Delhi. He said that the people of the state are disappointed with the Jai Ram Thakur government, which has completely failed and hence, they want to give their mandate to AAP in the upcoming assembly elections. The senior AAP leader said that his party is getting very good response from the people of Himachal Pradesh.

Sisodia said changing faces before the elections would not help the BJP to hide the failures of its government in the state. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party will form its government by winning the elections in Himachal Pradesh, whatever they (BJP) do now.
