Union Ministers and Bharatiya Janata Party leaders congratulated the Prime Minister Narendra Modi He completed 20 years of leading the government – his journey from being the chief minister of Gujarat to the PM – on Thursday.
His “dedication to the public” was celebrated by the BJP veteran with the hashtag “20 years of service relationship” summarizing the work done by the governments under him.
BJP national president JP Nadda extended his “heartfelt congratulations” and said that PM Modi as a “pradhan sevak” made “India a global power”.
“I extend hearty congratulations to PM Modi on completing 20 years as the head of government today. As a ‘Pradhan Sevak’, he has made India a global power. He also gave the mantra of ‘Service Hi Sangathan’ for our party.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised his colleague Modi for “dedicating 20 years for the welfare of the poor” and “making the impossible possible with his strong will”.

Meanwhile, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated PM Modi for his two decades in the constitutional post. “These unbroken 20 years have been immaculate and dedicated to public welfare. His popularity continues to grow and may continue to grow further.”

To mark the day, the ruling BJP has planned several events. The party will be sharing posts with a focus on cleanliness in PM Modi’s public office throughout the day in line with his “Clean India” vision.
Last week, news agency ANI reported that BJP workers will celebrate this day by cleaning rivers, spreading awareness among the public about the work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at booth level and other such social programs.
The saffron party has appointed a four-member team headed by Kailash Vijayvargiya who will plan the activities of the entire campaign. “Our focus will be on showing how Modi ji has worked for the upliftment of the underprivileged sections of the society. We will focus on their values of service and sacrifice,” Vijayvargiya said.
