BJP government will fulfill its promise to liberate Pakistan Occupied Kashmir: Jitendra Singh

new Delhi: Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh on Sunday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party government will fulfill its promise of freeing Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in the same way as it has fulfilled its promise to abrogate Article 370.

Singh said people do not understand that when the BJP promises something, it fulfills it, news agency ANI reported. An ANI report quoted Singh as saying, “When we talked about scrapping Article 370, people used to make fun of us but we kept our promise.”

After unveiling a 20-feet statue of Maharaja Gulab Singh in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Sunday, Singh said it was the Narendra Modi-led BJP government’s promise to liberate that part of Jammu and Kashmir. Which has been illegally occupied by Pakistan.

Singh further said that Parliament unanimously passed a resolution in 1994, emphasizing that Pakistan should vacate parts of Jammu and Kashmir under its illegal occupation.

“It is our promise to free the POJK,” Singh said.

The minister recalled the promise made by late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1980. Vajpayee, who was a co-founder and a senior BJP leader, had promised that one day, the BJP would form the government at the Centre. ,

The Union Minister said that “people used to make fun of him too”.

He said that today the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to fulfill every promise made by the party.
