BJP President JP Nadda is on a two-day visit to West Bengal. Nadda held a meeting of the State Executive at the National Library, Kolkata. Jai Prakash Majumdar, who recently joined TMC from BJP, protested against this. He said- National Library cannot be used for political meetings, it is against the law.

TMC raised questions on library authority

TMC leader Jai Prakash questioned the authority of the National Library and said that according to the rules of the library, it cannot be used for political meetings. The National Library is a national heritage. Despite this BJP is using it through the back door as it is a union territory institution. BJP is flouting the rules by holding this meeting.

BJP’s preparations for 2024

BJP MP Soumitra Khan told the media that this meeting is being held under the leadership of BJP President JP Nadda for better results in 2024. Nadda’s visit to Bengal comes after two party MPs Babul Supriyo and Arjun Singh joined TMC after quitting the party. The BJP is holding a meeting of the State Executive Committee at the National Library on Wednesday evening. These meetings are being held at the National Library to address the ongoing discontent among BJP workers and for better results in 2024.
