Bitcoin’s price on Friday continued to remain below the $40,000-mark even after making little gain. Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies, by and large, were trading in the red, according to Coindesk data.

Crypto trading was light and volatile as investors were worried about unfolding events in Ukraine and remained watchful for inflation and economic data from the US.

Bitcoin’s price was up by 0.19 per cent to $39,487. Ethereum price gained 1.30 per cent to $2,921.

“Bitcoin and Ethereum traded flat for another consecutive day with very little growth. BTC has been trading at a tight range for the past few days and is stabilizing after witnessing a downward trend early this week,” Edul Patel, CEO and Co-founder of Mudrex said.

XRP fell by 0.99 per cent, Terra was down by 3.34 per cent, Solana fell 1.59 per cent, Cardano fell by 0.15 per cent, Avalanche slid 3.22 per cent, Stellar was down by 0.36 per cent.

Other alt coin Dogecoin gained 1 per cent and Shiba Inu fell 1.30 per cent.

“A similar trend is likely to persist for the coming one or two days. Most cryptocurrencies are running in red over the previous day. On the other side, ApeCoin’s price has been rallying, hitting a new all-time high, gaining nearly 13% over the past day,” Patel said.
