New Delhi: The government is all set to celebrate the birth anniversary of the iconic tribal Birsa Munda, the leader who led the rebellion against the British, on Monday Janjatiya Gaurav Divas“With the Prime Minister” Narendra Modi Leading the ceremony. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will participate in a big program in Bhopal, in which more than two lakh tribals are expected to participate. He will also virtually launch Birsa Shaved Freedom Fighters Museum in Ranchi.
On Monday, the PM will first pay floral tributes to the statue of Birsa Munda. Parliament House and then literally opening Munda Birsa Museum before leaving for Bhopal
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has approved museums of 10 tribal freedom fighters to be set up in different parts of the country. Apart from highlighting the life story of Birsa Munda, the Ranchi museum also houses statues of 13 tribal freedom fighters, and will have a light and sound show for the visitors.
NS central cabinet Earlier this week it was decided to observe November 15 as a day dedicated to tribal freedom fighters as India gears up to celebrate 75 years of independence. Minister of Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda He said that a large number of national and state level programs would be organized throughout the week till November 22 to create awareness about the role of tribal freedom fighters.
Munda said, “This will be the first time that large-scale programs will be organized to pay tribute to tribal freedom fighters, who have been unsung heroes of the freedom struggle till now.”
The Minister said that more than 85 pre-independence tribal movements and more than 200 tribal leaders have been identified and their contributions are being compiled.
