Billionaire Richard Branson and crew flew to space – when and where to watch the livestream

new Mexico: Billionaire businessman and Virgin Group founder Richard Branson is set to land at the edge of space in Virgin Galactic’s first fully crewed spacecraft on Sunday evening, July 11.

Virgin Galactic’s VSS Unity Spaceship Two Vehicle will take off from Spaceport America, New Mexico, US.

The space plane is released approximately 44,000 feet (13,400 m) above the mothership, then propels its rocket motor directly into space. The maximum altitude is approximately 55 miles (70 km), providing three to four minutes of weightlessness. The rocket plane that requires two pilots lands on a runway at its Spaceport America base.

Richard Branson’s fellow passengers will include Beth Moses (Virgin Galactic’s Chief Astronaut Instructor), Colin Bennett (Virgin Galactic Lead Operations Engineer), Sirisha Bandala (Indian-origin Vice President of Government Affairs and Research at the company).

When to watch the live streaming of the launch?
According to Virgin Galactic’s Twitter, the launch was broadcast live at 7:30 a.m. PT; 8:30 AM MT; 10:30 a.m. ET; 3:30 a.m. BST.

The Unity 22 mission will be the second flight test for VSS Unity and the company’s fourth crewed spaceflight. It will also be the first to carry a full crew of two pilots and four mission specialists in the cabin. Unity 22 will focus on cabin and customer experience objectives.
