Briefing the media about the recent achievements, Patna ADG (HQ) JS Gangwar said that STF has arrested 57 Naxals including 6 most wanted Naxals. Along with this, 283 most wanted criminals have also been arrested. He said that the STF has also recovered a large quantity of arms and ammunition. “Several arms and ammunition were recovered in the year-long operation by STF. These include 14 regular weapons, 3 AK-47 and one weapon belonging to AK-56 series,” he said. were also recovered.

Bihar STF has made arrests outside the state

Also he emphasized on how Bihar STF arrested Naxalites outside the state. “At least 33 Maoists have been arrested by the Bihar Police from other states like UP, Delhi, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Maharashtra and West Bengal,” he said.

According to the top STF official, the insurgent group is extensively using country-made weapons to execute their plans and more than 100 such weapons have been recovered from the group.

“118 country-made weapons, 7,870 live cartridges, one hand grenade and 15 grams of explosive material have also been recovered,” he said.
