A notification issued by the state’s cabinet secretariat said, “It has been decided by the state government that all scheduled programs to be organized under CM Nitish Kumar’s ‘Samaj Sudhar Abhiyan’ (social reform campaign) will remain suspended till further orders.” ” Department.
As per the schedule of the campaign, the Chief Minister was to visit Begusarai on January 6, Jamui (January 8), Purnia (January 11). madhepura (January 12) and Bhagalpur (January 13) to hold interactive meetings with women members of Jeevika and review meetings with senior officers. CM was to hold his last election campaign meeting Patna on 15 January.
“But, now all these scheduled programs under the campaign have been postponed till further orders,” an official of the Cabinet Secretariat Department said here on Wednesday.
The state government also decided to postpone the “Janta Ke Darbar Mein Chief Minister” program from next Monday to prevent further spread of the Covid-19 infection.
The Chief Minister used to interact with the visitors from different districts on the first three Mondays of every month as part of the “Chief Minister in Janata Ke Darbar” program.
During the last program on Monday, six visitors to the ‘Janata Darbar’ at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and five members of a catering team were tested positive for Covid-19. Public court was conducted.
Meanwhile, four ministers in the Nitish cabinet, including both deputy chief ministers- Tarkishore Prasad and renu devi, were tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday.
Tarkishore and Renu told the public through separate tweets that their test had come positive. Building Construction Minister Ashok Choudhary has also informed the public that he has been tested positive for COVID-19.
