The officer said that it appeared that she was murdered elsewhere after which the body was dumped on the spot and burnt as grass and bushes were also burnt.
Two persons, including one who runs a private clinic, were taken into custody on Saturday for questioning, the official said. “Prima facie we suspect that Jha was murdered because of his activism as it resulted in action being taken against several private clinics in Benipatti,” the official said.
