Bihar: Both deputy chief ministers, 2 ministers test positive

After doctors and medical staff, Kovid infection is also spreading among political leaders of Bihar. On Wednesday, four ministers, including two deputy chief ministers – Tar Kishore Prasad and Renu Devi – tested positive for coronavirus. Besides this, Excise Minister Sunil Kumar and Building Construction Minister Ashok Choudhary also tested positive.

Tar Kishore Prasad was in the flood to inaugurate a government program along with JDU national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh. The latter turned out to be corona positive on Tuesday and he himself said that first he got his RT-PCR test done and the report came on Tuesday. Similarly, RT-PCR test of Kishore Prasad was also done and his report came positive on Wednesday.

After the development, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday postponed the social reform campaign (social reform campaign). He has also directed all cabinet ministers to conduct RT-PCR test.

Earlier, former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi, his wife, daughter, daughter-in-law and 14 other family members, security guards and officials had tested positive for COVID-19 last week.

In view of the serious infection, Nitish Kumar decided to impose night curfew and other restrictions from January 6 to break the chain of infection.

Earlier, 333 doctors, medical staff and students of Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) had turned out to be corona positive in the last 4 days. Apart from this, serious infection also spread among the medical staff of Patna AIIMS and IGIMS.
