Bihar Board Intermediate and Matric Exam in February | Patna News – Times of India

PATNA: Annual 2022 Class X & XII Exams Bihar School Examination Committee (BSEB) will be held in February. While the Class XII (Intermediate) examinations in Arts, Science and Commerce streams will begin from February 1, the Class X examinations will begin from February 17.
While releasing the datesheets of both the exams on Saturday, BSEB Chairman Anand Kishor said that the intermediate examinations will be held from February 1 to 14 and the matriculation examinations from February 17 to 24. The examinations will be held daily in two shifts from 9.30 am to 9.30 am. 12.45 PM and 1.45 PM to 5.00 PM.
BSEB sources said writers will be provided to spastic, visually impaired and other physically challenged candidates who cannot write answers themselves. They will get an additional 20 minutes per hour to write the answers.
While the actual exam will be of three hours in each shift, students will get an additional 15 minutes of ‘cool off’ time to read and analyze the questions and plan the answers accordingly. The Speaker said that the examinees should not write answers to any question during the ‘cool off’ time.
The practical examinations of intermediate candidates will be held from January 10 to January 20. The practical examinations for matriculation candidates will be held from January 20 to 22. The standard scores of science subjects, literacy activities and internal assessment in the project, foil and award sheets, will have to be submitted by the schools to the respective district education office by January 25, sources said, adding that the works based on the course content of social science subjects will have to be submitted.
BSEB has already released the dummy admit cards for class 10 board at biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in or biharboardonline.com. Last year more than 16.5 lakh students had registered for the matriculation exam. The numbers are likely to increase marginally this year due to the easing of the pandemic situation. BSEB has reportedly reduced the syllabus by 30% this year and half the exam will be multiple choice questions (MCQs).
To pass the BSEB exam (both class 10 and 12), students need at least 33% marks in each subject and also in the overall exam. Those who fail to score minimum passing marks in one or two subjects can improve their score by taking compartmental exam. However, those who have failed in more than two papers will have to repeat the year as per the existing rules.
