Bigger and better: Budget reveal of SS Rajamouli’s next film with Mahesh Babu

Director SS Rajamouli, whose recent release RRR broke box office records after another, is now gearing up for his next film with Mahesh Babu. The latest report doing the rounds is about the budget of the new venture, which has been touted as more than Rajamouli’s latest outing RRR.

Expected to be the costliest film ever in the Telugu film industry, the budget of the SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu film is reportedly Rs 800 crore. RRR for the Unknown was made on a budget of Rs 550 crore. Producer KL Narayan is going to endorse the yet-to-be titled film under his banner Shree Durga Arts.

Written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, the film is expected to be shot in the jungles of Africa. With a big budget, the film will hit the screens in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and other Indian and foreign languages.

Meanwhile, many are speculating that the story of the new thriller venture is similar to that of the Hollywood movie James Bond. However, the film’s screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad has clarified that the final story is yet to be completed.

Despite its grandeur, Rajamouli is eyeing the shooting of the project in less than a year. While affected by the pandemic, RRR took almost 4 years to wrap up.

RRR, the fictional tale of Indian revolutionaries – Alluri Sitarama Raju played by Ram Charan, and Komaram Bheem, played by Jr NTR, has earned over Rs 500 crore at the box office so far.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is busy wrapping up his film Sarkaru Vaari Pata directed by Parashuram Petla. The upcoming action entertainer stars Keerthy Suresh as the leading lady.
