Bigg Boss Telugu 6: Ranbir Kapoor impresses with his Telugu speech; Alia Bhatt says, ‘For me, any effort put by him will be 10/10’ – Times of India

<p>Bigg Boss Telugu season 6 hosted by Nagarjuna Akkineni is back to entertain telly audiences. Within months after the conclusion of the OTT edition ‘Bigg Boss Non-Stop’, Bigg Boss Telugu 6 is all set to be launched tonight (September 4). The grand premiere episode which will air at 6 PM will see host Nagarjuna Akkineni introducing the contestants of the season and locking them inside the BB house. This season is expected to have an interesting line up of contestants that includes TV celebs and social media influencers as well. Unlike the previous seasons, season 6 will also feature commoner contestant(s) as well. Here’s a quick look at the confirmed list of contestants of this season.</p>

<p>Keerthi Keshav Bhat is a popular actress in Telugu and Kannada television worlds. Born and brought up in Bangalore, Keerthi has been interested in art and films. She forayed into the Kannada entertainment industry after a formal training in dance and acting. Keerthi has featured in a couple of Kannada daily soaps and films like ‘Kaneyagiddale’ but Telugu show ‘Manasichchi Chudu’ was her biggest breakthrough.</p><p>Keerthi was recently roped in for the most watched Telugu daily soap ‘Karthika Deepam’ as well. </p><p>On the personal front, Keerthi reportedly lost her parents, brother and sister-in-law, in a major road accident. She also suffered major injuries and even slipped into a coma, as per the reports. However, she found a footing in the showbiz world and even adopted a baby girl.</p>

<p>Sudeepa Raparthi is popular as Pinky; due credits to her performance as Pinky in the 2001 film ‘Nuvvu Naku Nachav’. Sudeepa made her acting debut as a child actor in 1994 with the Telugu movie M. Dharmaraju M.A featuring eminent actor-producer Mohan Babu. However, it was Nuvvu Naaku Nachav starring Venkatesh Daggubati and Aarti Agarwal, that gave her immense popularity. Pinky acted alongside many popular Telugu actors like Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, Pawan Kalyan, Jagapathi Babu, Tarun, Uday Kiran and others.</p><p>Sudeepa had a notable stint in Telugu television as well. She is known for her supporting roles in the Telugu daily soaps in Kotha Bangaram, Prathighatana, Mavichiguru, Pasupu Kumkuma, Prathighatana, and Aa Okkati Adakku recently. Besides fiction shows, Sudeepa also a contestant in the reality TV show ‘Super 2’, a stunt-based adventure show, but she soon got evicted.</p>

<p>The VJ-sports presenter is also a part of Bigg Boss Telugu season 6. Neha is one of the most dynamic VJs on the block. She is known for her finesse in presenting sports-related shows in Telugu besides her popular music show Restart. She is a trained gymnast and acclaimed athlete. <p>Chanti aka Vinay Mohan is a promising name in the list of contestants of this season. Known for his hilarious skits and performances in the popular comedy show Jabardasth, Chanti emerged as one of the pillars of the comedy shows. Born Vinay Mohan, Chanti started his career in a corporate firm where he grabbed the attention with his mimicry talent. He even performed at public places before securing a job as a Radio Jockey at a popular FM channel in Hyderabad where he got his popular screen name ‘Chanti’. <p>The noted actress is from Vijayawada. She has won the title Miss Vijayawada and kept pursuing her modelling and acting dreams. She hogged limelight after featuring in the popular Telugu film Nenu Sailaja as the male lead actor’s (Ram Pothineni) ex-lover. Her web series Thondara Padaku Sundara Vadhana is also popular. Sri Satya got closer to Telugu telly audiences with her performances in the noted Telugu daily soaps Ninne Pelladatha and Trinayani. <p>Arjun Kalyan is a techie with big dreams in his eyes. After completing his M.S in University of Kentucky, USA, Arjun pursued a course in acting in the Neywork Film Academy.</p><p>He made his acting debut with the an indie Telugu film titled ‘Chinna Cinema’ which was shot in the US. He went on to feature in many movies and web series like Upma Tinesindi, Pseudocide, Unspoken, a few to mention. Arjun also appeared in the Telugu film Premam featuring Naga Chaitanya and Sruthi Hasan in the lead roles. Arjun is featured in Varudu Kaavalenu, Pellikuturu Party and the OTT film ‘Play Back’. </p>

<p>Srihan is a noted actor and social media influencer based in Hyderabad. Shrihan appeared in the 2015 short film ‘Chari Lover of Sravani’ with his now fiancee Siri Hanmanth. The Telugu short movie ‘Software Bichhagadu’ was indeed the game-changer for him. He shot to fame with the short film and went onto feature short movies that were released on YouTube. Srihan then made his Telugu TV debut as well with the shows ‘Ammai Cute Abbai Naatu’ and ‘Pitta Goda’. Shrihan along with Siri Hanumanth create content for their YouTube channel titled ‘Hey Siri’. The way he supported Siri when her equation with inmate Shanmukh Jaswanth turned controversial during Bigg Boss Telugu season 5 was widely admired. <p>Born in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, Geethu Royal aka Galatta Geethu Royal, is a noted social media influencer and TV actor of Jabardasth fame, known for lip-sync videos, Rayalaseema accent and vlogs.</p><p>Geethu Royal completed her Intermediate in Nandyal and later moved to Bangalore to finish her graduation. She worked in a global corporate firm for a couple of years before she earned fame with her online content. Geethu’s lip-sync videos on TikTok went viral and she continued to make content for YouTube and Instagram.</p><p>Besides Radio Jockeying, Geethu also started reviewing Bigg Boss Telugu online. She soon got popular for her BB reviews as well. On the other hand, she grabbed attention on television as well. Her accent and performance in the popular comedy show ‘Jabardasth’ earned her recognition within no time. Her collaboration with Rohini, Aadi and others are widely admired.</p><p>On the personal front, she has a younger brother and family means the world to her. She is a pet lover and often shares videos of her cat Oreo.</p><p>Geethu Royal is expected to be one of the key entertainers in Bigg Boss Telugu season 6. It remains to be seen if she can measure up to the expectations.</p>

<p>Abhinaya Shree is quite a familiar name to Telugu audiences; due credits to her special number Aa Ante Amalapuram from Telugu superstar Allu Arjun’s second film ‘Arya’. Abhinaya Shree is the daughter of yesteryear heroine Anuradha, who has worked in many films across all the South Indian languages. Abhinaya Shree has appeared in many Tamil films and a few Malayalam and Kannada films before tasting popularity with Arya. She appeared in many Telugu films like Hungama, Chandamama and even won a state award for best comedienne for the Telugu film Paisalo Paramatma. On the personal front, she has a younger brother and her father passed away many years after meeting with an accident. Abhinaya Shree completed 6th standard when it comes to formal education. She has been missing from the Telugu showbiz world with her last notable appearance being Pandavulu in 2014 and Bigg Boss Telugu 6 can be that perfect comeback she might be looking for.</p>

<p>Famed TV couple Marina Abraham and Rohit Sahni are most likely to take part in the upcoming season 6. They can be the second celeb couple to enter the BB house after Varun and Vithika in Bigg Boss Telugu season 3 hosted by Nagarjuna Akkineni. Marina shot to fame with her performance in the popular show America Ammayi and went on to feature in noted serials like Prema. She was also listed in Hyderabad Times’ Most Desirable Woman on TV as well.</p><p>On the other hand, Rohit is equally popular for his TV appearances in the Telugu daily soaps Neeli Kaluvalu, Abhilasha.</p>

<p>Baladitya, a multi-faceted personality is a familiar name to Telugu audiences. Baladitya made an impressive debut as a child actor in actor Rajendra Prasad’s 1991 Telugu comedy film Edurinti Mogudu Pakkinti Pellam. The actor went on to feature in over 40 films as a child actor across Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Baladitya later made his debut in a male lead role in the 2003 Telugu movie Chantigadu directed by B. A. Jaya and featured in many Telugu films. He got closer to the Telugu telly audiences with his roles in the popular Telugu daily soaps Shambhavi, Subhadra Pariyanam, and Savitramma Gari Abbai. He also played the lead role in the 2019 Tamil serial Rasaathi. Besides fiction shows, Baladitya also hosted an exclusive quiz show titled ‘Champion’ in 2015 and 2016 for school-going kids. He bagged two Nandi awards as a child actor and also an anchor for his TV show ‘Champion’. </p><p>He was recently associated with BB Telugu 5 finalist and social media influencer Shanmukh Jaswanth’s recently released web series ‘Agent Anand Santosh’. Notably, Baladitya is the younger brother of famed Telugu actor Kaushik.</p><p>The famed TV actor was away from the action for nearly 5 years due to personal reasons and is expected to make a strong comeback with Bigg Boss Telugu season 6. </p>

<p>The young talented actress has grabbed attention with the recently released Telugu film Wanted PanduGod. She is one of the most underrated contestants of the season.</p>

<p>He is a professional Kho Kho player who got an opportunity in SS Rajamouli’s 2004 Telugu film Sye. Shaani lost his mother on the second day of his shoot for the film. But Shaani completed shooting for the film. He appeared in a few other Telugu movies as well. Shaani revealed in Bigg Boss Telugu 6’s premiere that his first name ‘Shaani’ is apparently inspired from his friends. He is looking for a proper comeback with Bigg Boss Telugu 6.</p>

<p>The aspiring actress, who went viral with dance video with controversial filmmaker RGV, is now a part of Bigg Boss Telugu season 6. She revealed that she got a lot of negativity after the video went viral but adds she bounced back with sheer positivity. She wants to fulfil the dream of her late father. </p>

<p>Anyone who follows Telugu television might have come across RJ Surya for sure. Starting off as a Radio Jockey in a private FM channel. Surya Narayana aka Surya is one of those young talents who shifted to Hyderabad from East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. RJ Surya appeared in short movies and also a web series titled Flat No. 706 that was released on YouTube. Surya is also known for his impeccable mimicry talent. He has been participating in many mimicry contests and shows ever since he was young. He worked as a mimicry artist in a couple of Telugu news channels and became popular as ‘Konda Babu’ on-screen. <p>Jabardasth fame Faima is a known face to the telly audiences. She has been popular for her performances in the popular comedy show ‘Jabardasth’. Faima was a commoner until her talent was recognised in the non-fiction show Pataas hosted by Sreemukhi and Ravi. She had to fight with her family for their approval to foray into the entertainment business. She was selected for Pataas 2 and later featured in the successful show Pove Pora hosted by Vishnupriya Bheemineni and Sudigaali Sudheer as well. Faima was soon roped in for the popular comedy show ‘Jabardasth’ and she soon became a crucial part of the sketches of comedians Jeevan and Bhaskar in the show. Her on-screen chemistry with Emmannuel and others in the show is well admired.</p>

<p>The show shall feature Bigg Boss reviewer Adi Reddy as one of the contestants. Adi Reddy has become popular with his reviews and opinion pieces on Bigg Boss Telugu. Adi Reddy, who is active on Twitter, has confirmed his participation with his latest tweet as well. <p>The model indeed started off as an office boy to support his family as he lost his dad at the age of 17 years. Rajsekhar forayed into modeling as a career. In the premiere episode, Rajsekhar claimed that there is no recognition in modeling and he is taking part in BB Telugu 6 for some recognition and identity. </p>

<p>Anchor Anjali aka Aarohi Rao hails from Warangal, Telangana. After completing her educatoin in Hanamkonda, she moved to Hyderadad and started her career as an anchor. Anjali worked in many media houses and shot to fame with her show Ismart News. Her accent and vivacious nature earned her fame. Food, sea, and travel has a special place in her heart. </p><p>”I want to show myself and prove what Aarohi is to the world,” she stated before entering the BB house.</p>

<p>Eminent playback singer Revanth is yet another promising contestant of Bigg Boss Telugu season 6. After much anticipation, Revanth is making his BB debut this season. The popular playback singer has participated in the reality TV series Super Singer and emerged as a runner-up a couple of times. However, it was Indian Idol that has put Revanth on the national map. Revanth has grabbed the attention of the world by winning the popular Indian singing reality series Indian Idol season 9. Revanth was recently seen as one of the main mentors in the recently concluded season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Telugu.
