This year, the most entertaining and controversial reality show on Indian television, Bigg Boss made its digital debut. Hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar, Bigg Boss OTT managed to strike a chord with the audience. Like the television version, the OTT version offered a substantial dose of drama, something that has become an essential element of the show’s identity. The contestants of the house gave a reason to cry, smile and entertain the audience. After weeks of engaging audiences, it’s time to get closer to Bigg Boss OTT. The finale of the show will air on September 18 at 7 pm.
Karan, who surprised everyone by stepping into the shoes of the Bigg Boss OTT host, garnered a lot of praise from many for his fun attitude. He kept the balance and also entertained the family members with some of his practical jokes. Let’s revisit some of the most entertaining moments of Karan on Bigg Boss OTT:
Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill
This favorite couple of TV reached the show as a guest. Her presence was much awaited and fans were very excited to see the magic of Bigg Boss 13 contestants. During the episode, Karan played rapid-fire with the two. He also asked them if they were in a committed relationship, to which Shehnaaz replied that, “Boyfriends go, but our bond is eternal.” During the episode, Sidnaz also danced together which got the most cheer.
Aashika Bhatia and Akshay Kakkar
For a first time in Bigg Boss for digital influencers, MX Takatak celebs danced their way through while interacting with Karan. They couldn’t help making a video for MX Takatak with the filmmaker on their most popular dance song, Bole Chudiyan. Aashika made Karan on the track and the audience cheered for him. She also danced with Akshay on the song Disco Deewane from Student Of The Year.
Rakesh Bapat and Shamita Shetty
During one of the episodes, Karan teases the lovebirds. He tried to pull the feet of Shamita who called Raqesh ‘cute’ and demanded a kiss from her. He also made a funny joke and asked Rakesh about learning the hook steps of Shamita’s song Sharara Sharara. Karan showers her praises but Shamita blushed and said, “How shameful, Karan!”

Bigg Boss OTT launch
Karan had the best introduction to Prateek Sahajpal at the launch of the show. The filmmaker also sang some of his most popular songs including Radha Geet from the 2012 film Student Of The Year. The event also welcomed one of Karan’s close friends, Malaika Arora, who gave a scintillating performance on Mimi’s Param Sundari song. He taught Karan the hook steps of the number.
Tony Kakkar and Neha Kakkar
The Kakkar siblings will be present to promote their single, Kaanta Laga. He had a lot of fun with the Contestant and Karan with a musical twist. The singer duo put the title of some songs in front of the housemates and asked them which was the best. Neha and Tony also danced with Karan on his new song.
Meanwhile, the finalists of Bigg Boss OTT include Rakeysh Bapat, Shamita Shetty, Nishant Bhatt, Divya Agarwal and Prateek Sahajpal.
