Bigg Boss OTT: Karan Johar calls Rakeysh Bapat ‘sexist’

The finale week of ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ started with a lot of emotions and eliminations as the contestants were asked to control their emotions while meeting their parents and family members. Hence, a lot was seen happening inside the house – from Moose Jattana getting eliminated to Divya Agarwal meeting Varun Sood, her real life love affair. But what caught everyone’s attention was when the host Karan Johar Pointing to Rakesh Bapat’s remarks on ‘women’ during the ‘Ticket to Finale’ task.

When Karan entered the stage, he questions Rakesh on his game plan and schooled him for making anti-feminist comments on female housewives, calling him “sexist”. During the Ticket to Finale task, Rakesh said that “men are stronger than women” and Karan took a stand for all the women in the house and said: “We are living in an awakened world where you are like this. does not say things”.

He continued: “Let me tell you, my dear, if push comes to shove and I hope it never happens, Shamita can kick your ass, Neha can kick your ass and Divya can kick everyone. K can kick ass”. Rakesh didn’t agree and tried to defend himself by making it clear: “I consider it and I didn’t mean it, honestly. I live in a house full of women, I know what it is, strength.” What is it and where does it come from”.

Later, Karan asked Moose and he said that he had told Rakesh that “strength does not come from the linga”. However, Shamita is seen defending Rakesh that he did not intend to humiliate any woman.

During the episode, Karan also said that he doesn’t want to shy away from the comment as it would make him a part of the ‘cancel culture’ which he is not. He further shared that he finds it objectionable, even when he is told that he is not a man enough.

We couldn’t agree more with Karan and are so proud of him for taking the stand. It is not right to question women or call them weak and this time Rakesh has created trouble for himself by making such a silly statement.
