New Delhi: After the final race for the captaincy and nomination exercise, Colors’ Bigg Boss 16 pits the troupe against non-troupe members for the task of reviving the prize of Rs. 50 lakhs. The act escalates the existing tension between the two factions of the house – the troupe (including Shiv Thackeray, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, MC Steyn and Sumbul Touqueer Khan), who believe in playing the game as a team, and the non-troupe member (Archana Gautam, Priyanka Chahar Chowdhury, and Shalin Bhanot) who have been individual players.
Bigg Boss orders the non troupe members to hold the buzzer for one hour while they are tied up and distracted by the troupe. If the troupe succeeds in diverting their attention, then whichever troupe member wins will be awarded a prize money of Rs.50,000. 50 lakhs. On the contrary, if non-troupe people dance on the buzzer, then whichever of them wins the trophy will be awarded with the said prize money. Also, if the member of the losing team wins the season, he will get the existing prize money of Rs. 2 million.
As only three people can play from each team, the troupe members decide to drop Sumbul which upsets him. MC Stan, Shiva and Nimrit try their best to distract them by applying water, oil etc on their hands but the non-troupe members stand strong and win the task.
Apart from the excitement of this task in the house, there is also the tension of the last nomination exercise. Circle members Shiv Thackeray, MC Steyn and Sumbul Touqeer Khan were named by Sumbul as lapses in judgment. After work, Sumbul will neither talk nor sit with the troupe members and she is sulking without sharing anything with anyone. When Nimrit asks her about it, she says that she too has feelings and everyone is blaming her so she is feeling guilty about it.
Perhaps, it is Sumbul’s behavior that makes Shiv Thackeray tell the troupe how lucky they are to have a support system at home. He explains that for the game Shalin, Archana and Priyanka have to sit with people they don’t like. He outlines the main difference between the Circle and non-circle members, stating that the Circle gains strength because their friendship is true. It remains to be seen if this lineup stays solid through the end of the season.
At the end of the episode, Bigg Boss calls Shiv and MC Stan to the confession room and asks why didn’t they play the victim card. ‘Bigg Boss’ also explains that these are the two boys who try to reform and keep the troupe together.
