Bigg Boss 15: Salman Khan will earn Rs 350 crore; A look at their remuneration since 2010

After hosting Bigg Boss for the last eleven years, Bollywood supper star Salman Khan Show has become synonymous. The actor brings in his signature charisma as the host of the controversial reality show, attracting millions of viewers across the country. Over the years, Salman has become more and more involved in the show. We have seen him act as a loving mentor to the contestants, giving them relationship advice and scolding him for his behavior on the show. In other words, there is no Bigg Boss without Salman Khan.

Hence, it is fitting that the actor has also received very good remuneration for his role in the show. According to many reports, this year Salman will earn Rs 350 crore in 14 weeks. This means the actor will earn around Rs 25 crore for each weekend. For an episode, this amount goes up to Rs 12 crore.

This also shows how much his remuneration has gone up ever since he first started hosting Bigg Boss in Season 4. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Salman was paid Rs 2.5 crore per episode from season four to six of the show.

A source quoted in the publication said, “Thereafter, he doubled his fees to ₹5 crore for Bigg Boss 7. For Bigg Boss 8, Salman charged ₹5.5 crore per episode and for Bigg Boss 9 , he increased his fees. ₹7-8 crores per episode. For season 10 of Bigg Boss, he took ₹8 crores per episode.” As per the publication, for season 11 and 12, Salman took home Rs 11 crore per episode.

In season 13, Salman increased his fees to Rs 200 crore for the entire season, as quoted by a Pinkvilla source. He earned Rs 13 crore per week and Rs 6.5 crore per episode. According to the publication, when the season was unexpectedly extended by two weeks, the makers stopped it by paying an extra Rs 2 crore per week.

In season 14, which was one of the longest season of Bigg Boss, Salman earned Rs 20 crore for this episode. After all the extensions, the actor took Rs 450 crore from the season.

Meanwhile, Bigg Boss 15 will premiere on October 2. The announced participants include Prateek Sahajpal, Shamita Shetty, Nishant Bhat and Donal Bisht.
