Big fall in gold prices, yellow metal cheaper than record Rs 8,500

Fall in gold prices on Multi Commodity Exchanges Gold fell by Rs 396 or 0.6 per ten grams as compared to the previous session. As a result, the yellow metal has come down to Rs 48.75 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, silver prices rose 0.2 per cent per kg over the previous session. The cost of 1 kg of silver in Kolkata is Rs 6,000. Retail silver is Rs 8,100 per kg. Meanwhile, gold was trading at Rs 1,649.98 an ounce in international trade.

Meanwhile, in Kolkata today the price of 1 gram of hard gold or 24 carat gold is Rs 4890. The price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold is Rs 47900. Meanwhile, in Kolkata, the price of 1 gram 22 carat gold is Rs 4840. The cost of 10 grams of 22 carat gold is Rs 48400. 1 gram hallmark gold price 4810. The price of 10 grams of hallmarked gold is Rs 48100. These prices are excluding GST and TCS.




Incidentally, the price of 10 grams of gold had reached Rs 58,200 in August last year. Since then till now there has been ups and downs in gold. Although 10 grams of gold did not reach the level of Rs 56,000, but it crossed Rs 50,000. Then it got cheap again. Prices fell at the end of last week and during this week. At present, 10 grams of gold is less than the record price of about Rs 6425.
