Navjot Sidhu has suffered a major setback after Charanjit Channi replaced Captain Amarinder Singh as the CM in Punjab. The Sidhu Group had recommended Deepinder Singh Patwalia to be made Advocate General of Punjab. A decision had already been taken regarding his name. However, later there was opposition to this. After which the file was stopped in the CM office itself. It was not sent to the Governor for approval. Now news is coming that Anmol Ratan Sidhu will be the new Advocate General of Punjab. However, no official information has come about this yet.

Advocate Atul Nanda also resigned from the post of Advocate General as soon as Captain Amarinder Singh left the post of CM in Punjab.
