BIG blow to Apple iPhone enthusiasts! Wait longer to get iPhone Pro models– Here’s WHY

New Delhi: Unrest among workers at Foxconn’s factory in Zhengzhou, China, could lead to a severe supply shortage. One of the few factories making iPhone Pro models for international markets, this is one of them. The phone has been in short supply since its launch earlier this year. The turmoil has led to a backlog of six million Apple iPhone Pro devices this year, according to Bloomberg estimates. Delay in delivery or reduction in stock availability may ultimately result in this.

The estimated delivery time for the iPhone 14 Pro (256GB) in India is four weeks. For far-flung Tier-3 and Tier-4 cities, the waiting time may go beyond this. The report claims that the situation is fluid and there may be additional changes to the timing and volume estimates. ,Also Read: Get Google Pixel 7 For Just Rs 23,999 During Flipkart Black Friday Sale; Check exchange, discount offers and price calculation here,

Workers at Foxconn’s Zhengzhou facility took part in widespread protests last week. Company property, including some security cameras, was damaged by the workers. The unrest was caused by problems including late payments and tighter Covid restrictions.

Foxconn acknowledged the payment problem and attributed it to a “technical glitch”. He announced to find a solution. However, it was alleged that more than 20,000 workers left the organization the very next day. The low output volume may also be due to the small workforce.
