A major accident happened in the capital Delhi on Monday afternoon. A three-storey under-construction building collapsed in the Satya Niketan area here. It has been reported that 5 laborers were trapped under the debris in this accident. NDRF team has pulled out two laborers from the rubble. Three others are still feared trapped under the debris. Police and 6 fire tenders have reached the spot and relief and rescue work is on.

The accident happened around 1.25 pm, when work was going on in the building. The construction of the building was going on for the last few months and was being given the form of a PG hostel. At present, the rescue and relief work is in progress. Police, fire brigade and other rescue teams are engaged in relief work. JCB machine is being used to clear the debris.

Mayor said – Makal Malik did not give information
On the other hand, the Mayor of South Delhi held the landlord responsible for the accident and said that the advisory was issued by the corporation only last month. The mayor said that the owner of the building had not informed about the repair work.

CM Kejriwal said – I am taking information myself
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has expressed grief over the incident. He said that this accident is very sad. The district administration is engaged in relief and rescue work. I myself am taking every information related to the incident.
