US President Joe Biden said Russian leader Vladimir Putin could face a war crimes trial and said Washington would impose additional sanctions against Russia as he condemned alleged atrocities against civilians in Ukraine.
“He’s a war criminal,” Biden said of Putin, speaking to reporters on his return to Washington from a long weekend in Delaware. “This man is cruel, and what is happening in Buka is disgraceful, and everyone has seen it.”
