New Delhi: Before the important assembly elections in five states,… Federation health ministry secretary Rajesh Bhushan and Dr. VK Paul, Member (Health), Niti Aayog Sources said that today at 11 am, the team of officials of the Election Commission of India will meet.
Earlier on 27 December 2021, there was a meeting between the Union Health Secretary Rajesh. Grace and poll officials where they discussed the steps needed to conduct elections in the safest way possible during the Omicron pandemic, a variant of COVID-19.
The officials also sought suggestions and detailed reports from Union Health Secretary Bhushan on improving their COVID-19 protocols for campaigning, polling days and counting dates.
The Election Commission is gearing up for the assembly elections and is expected to announce soon the dates for the Goa, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Manipur assemblies on different dates in March and Uttar Pradesh ending in May.
