Banaras Hindu University (BHU) invites applications from Indian Nationals, Foreign Nationals, PIOs and OCIs for ‘Malviya Postdoctoral Fellowship’. As per the notification there are 100 posts in all the subjects of Science, Social Science, Humanities and other professional subjects. Those who will be selected for this fellowship will get Rs 1 lakh per month and other facilities.
The fellowship scheme was launched under the status of ‘Institution of Eminence’ accorded to the University by the Government of India. “The fellowship will be awarded for a period of two years which may be extended for another 1 year on favorable evaluation by the respective review committee,” claimed the press release by the institute.
BHU Postdoctoral Fellowship 2022: Eligibility
Educational Qualifications: To be eligible for the fellowship, a candidate must have a PhD from top 500 institutions (THE or QS ranking) and a good academic record of two years from top 500 institutions or two years of postdoctoral experience. In addition, candidates must have evidence of independent research ability and have publications in high-impact journals.
Age Range: Candidate age should preferably be below 35 years as on 17th June, 2022.
BHU Postdoctoral Fellowship 2022: Required Documents
The candidates must check the list of documents required to enroll in the fellowship program:
– Proposed research plan
– One page syllabus with list of all publications, course life format available on the webpage of IOE, BHU
– PDF files of at least two more giving a brief description of important publications and the candidate’s contribution
– MoU from a faculty member of BHU, who is willing to host, may be attached
– Recommendation letter from thesis supervisor or advisor PDF
BHU Postdoctoral Fellowship 2022: Stipend
Those who will be selected for this fellowship will get Rs 1 lakh per month (approx USD 1,350 per month). In addition, candidates will be entitled to an annual research grant of Rs 3 lakh (USD 3,800). Accommodation may be provided in limited premises, notified the notification.
