Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Box Office Collection: Kartik Aaryan’s film sees slight dip, inches towards ₹150 cr
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Box Office Collection: The Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu starrer horror-comedy craze among the audience is not going to end soon. The box office collection of the film is proof of this. It has been just nine days since the film released and it has already entered the Rs 100 crore club. Anees Bazmee’s film had a bumper opening on the first day of release and collected Rs 14.11 crore. It was the biggest release of any Hindi film this year, beating other projects like ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, and ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’. The film recorded a ‘fabulous second weekend’ and is slowly inching towards hitting the Rs 150 crore milestone. Well, on Monday the film saw a slight drop of around 15% from its second Friday. As per the latest trade reports, it is expected to earn around 5.25-5.25 crores on 30th May.
According to a report in BoxOfficeIndia, “The drop on Monday is about 15% from Friday which is a great catch, although it could have been better as it was IPL Final On Sunday which meant limited growth and now some of the spectators on that Sunday can go on Monday. The second week will total 46-48 crores, which will mean the highest epidemic of the second week for original Hindi content.

Sharing Sunday’s collection, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “#BhoolBhulaiyaa2 EXCELS in Weekend 2… SOLID GAINS on [second] saturn and sun [despite #IPLFinals] Indicates that it should cross ₹150 crore, with an outsized possibility of touching ₹175 crore… [Week 2] Venus 6.52 crores, Saturn 11.35 crores, Sun 12.77 crores. Total: ₹ 122.69 Cr. #India biz. Super hit.”
Informing about the film achieving the Rs 100 crore milestone, he tweeted, “#Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is on a winning streak, double digit hit [second] Shani… became the first choice of film watchers, new films eclipsed… National chains grew, mass circuit super-strong… [Week 2] Venus 6.52 crores, Saturn 11.35 crores. Total: ₹ 109.92 cr. #IndiaBiz.”
The total earning of the first week stood at Rs 92.05 crore. The horror-comedy earned Rs 6.52 crore on the second Friday and Rs 11.35 crore on the second Sunday. With this, Kartik is currently touted as a superstar by many critics and audiences to deliver the blockbuster of the year.
For those unversed, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a sequel to the 2007 released film Bhool Bhulaiyaa which starred Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in the lead role.
Meanwhile, Kartik is all set to impress fans with more interesting projects in his lineup including ‘Shehzada’, ‘Captain India’, ‘Freddie’ and Sajid Nadiadwala’s next.
