Both have been admitted to the hospital in serious condition. Security forces have surrounded the entire area and search operation is going on.

The police has issued a statement regarding the incident. According to the police, around 7:50 pm, information was received about a terror incident in Nowgam area of Srinagar, where terrorists fired on two outside laborers. Senior police officers reached the spot. Here the terrorists had fired on two laborers of Bengal, Najmul-Islam and Anikul-Islam. Both live here in the Suthsu Kalan area of Nowgam. Both were injured after being shot. Both were brought to the hospital. Police have registered a case. The area has been cordoned off and search is on in the area.
