There are many such cases in Chhattisgarh itself, in which parents are waiting for 5-5 years by applying for adoption, but they did not get the child.

Case 1 – Process involved in trading
A social worker told that the professor couple, living in Kolkata, applied in the jail to adopt the girl. They found a girl child born to a 12-year-old minor. But the officers of the jail refused to adopt the girl saying that there was a possibility of horse-trading.

Case 2 – 3 years of application, still waiting
A couple living in Tikrapara of the capital told that it has been three years since they applied online through CARA. They want a 4 year old child. Counseling has been done twice, but till now the child has not been found. On asking the reason, it is said that the application is with the jail.
