9,14,103 lakh students have applied for admission to undergraduate courses in 86 universities, including central universities, through the Common University Entrance Test-2022 (CUET). Of these, 6 lakh want admission in Delhi University (DU). Most of the applicants are from UP. After DU, 3,91,528 have applied for Banaras Hindu University of UP and 2,33,799 for Allahabad University. At the same time, 56,620 applications have been received for JNU. Interestingly, not a single application has come for Central University of Punjab and National Sports University.

Got admission on 12th marks
For the first time in the country’s 22 central universities, 12 state universities, 11 deemed and 19 private universities, integrated entrance examination is being conducted for admission to undergraduate courses in 2022-23. Till now many universities including DU used to give admission on the basis of 12th marks or there were separate entrance exams. Every year the cutoff for DU’s B.Com Honors and B.Com was the highest. This time also the same course remained popular. For both these courses, 2,23,149 applications have been received. Although B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering is at the first place in the choice of students. There are 65 courses for which 30 thousand applications have come.
