An employee of BharatPe on a LinkedIn post raised the issue of dismissal of administrative staff and non-payment of salaries, to which Grover and CEO Sameer reacted.

Responding to a comment on a social media account by the name of Ashima Grover, Sameer said, “Behentere bhai ne sara paisa chura liya (Sister, your brother stole all the money). There is very little left to pay the salary.” .

The comment was criticized by many on social media.

Later Sameer apologized for his remarks.

“Guys – I’m sorry for bothering many of you. In the end, it was out of line. We are already working on the full and final pay of the previous employees. My comment came from a special statement. The response was, not the post. But I accept the mistake. I request you too to be patient, and refrain from creating a story based on a false narrative,” he said in a post on LinkedIn.

On LinkedIn, the company’s colleague Karan Sarkar had raised the issue of sacking old employees and not getting salary.

“Despite so many emails and office visit we have not received the salary for the month of March. All the old admin employees of BharatPe have been terminated by you without assigning any reason and their salary has not been paid. We were BharatPe’s Also since the company started and now we are nowhere because of your internal politics.”

He said that the employees are spending their own money for petty expenses of the company and the bills have not been reimbursed since December.

Sarki said, “All BharatPe employees are enjoying a paid office trip to Goa and we engraved employees are fighting for their salaries and jobs. What kind of leader are you.”

Bharatpe, however, denied the claim of non-payment of salaries to the employees on social media.

“BharatPe strongly denies any comment on social media that says the company has not paid salaries to its employees. All employees of the company have been paid their March salaries in full. The company As per the policy of the Company, the employees serving the notice period will receive their salary in full and final settlement amount in due course as per the policy of the Company,” the company said in a statement.

Ashneer Grover replied to the post and flagged it to Sameer and BharatPe’s head of financial control, Harsimran Kaur, to resolve the wage payment issue.

Grover said, “Please look into it. Not done – their salaries have to be paid first before anything else.”

The BharatPe CEO told Sarki to get in touch with him if the deal is not reached by Friday.
