Bharat Jodo Yatra to Enter Rajasthan Sunday Evening

Rahul Gandhi The Bharat Jodo Yatra, led by the Bharat Jodo Yatra, will enter Congress-ruled Rajasthan on Sunday evening, which has been witness to a tussle between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his former deputy Sachin Pilot.

The yatra will enter the state from Jhalawar, a BJP bastion from Madhya Pradesh, and cover a distance of 500 km in 17 days. This is the first time that the yatra has entered a Congress-ruled state.

Gandhi and other yatris will be given a grand reception at Chawli Chauraha in Jhalrapatan (Jhalawar).

Ahead of the yatra, Chief Minister Gehlot and Pilot, who have differences of opinion and are in a tussle for the CM’s post, presented a united face.

Allaying apprehensions that the yatra will be affected in Rajasthan, Pilot told PTI on Sunday that the party’s state unit is “fully united” and the focus is on ensuring that the yatra is more organized than in other states. be successful

The former deputy chief minister of Rajasthan said the visit would further the efforts for the next election to be held in 12 months.

The Gehlot government has also pacified Gujjar leader Vijay Singh Bainsla, who recently threatened to disrupt the yatra over his pending demand with the state government regarding reservation and other issues by holding several meetings on the issues. Bainsla has withdrawn his protest against the yatra.

PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasara said that all preparations have been completed in Jhalawar.

“We are all set to welcome the Bharat Jodo Yatra today. All preparations have been completed. This will be a historic visit in the state. Apart from party workers, there is a lot of enthusiasm among the people of the state about this yatra.

Jhalawar is a BJP bastion dominated by former chief minister Vasundhara Raje. She represents the Jhalrapatan assembly constituency of Jhalawar. All the four assembly seats in this district are with the BJP and Raje’s son Dushyant Singh is the MP from Jhalawar Lok Sabha seat.

A day before the Yatra’s entry, Pilot released a video on his social media platforms to welcome Gandhi.

“Entire Rajasthan is ready to join Rahul ji’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. Are you coming? the pilot said in the video.

The video shows him tying his shoelaces, stretching his body, adjusting his glasses and running as more people join him.

Gandhi will start the Rajasthan leg of the yatra from Kali Talai at 6 am on Monday. After covering a distance of 14 km, he will reach Bali Borda square at 10 am. After lunch, the journey will resume from Nahardi at 3.30 pm and reach Chandrabhaga Square at 6.30 pm.

Congress leaders will hold a Nukkad Sabha at Chandrabhaga Square in the evening. Night stay will be in Jhalawar sports complex.

Gandhi will cover a distance of about 500 km in the state via Jhalawar, Kota, Bundi, Sawai Madhopur, Dausa and Alwar districts before entering Haryana on December 21.

Gandhi will interact with farmers at Lalsot in Dausa on December 15 and address a public meeting at Malakheda in Alwar on December 19.
