Bhanwari Devi kidnapping-murder case: Rajasthan HC grants bail to 6 more accused Jodhpur News – Times of India

Jodhpur: Two weeks later Supreme court bail issued to an accused Parasram Bishnoi In Bhanwari Devi The Rajasthan High Court on Tuesday granted relief to six more accused in the kidnapping and murder case.
In Bishnoi’s case, the same order of the top court also became the basis for bail of these six accused.
Along with this, eight out of 17 accused in this case, including Reshmaram, are out on bail.
However, the bail application of main accused Mahipal Maderna could not be decided on Tuesday. Currently, he is out on interim bail for treatment. He had also filed a bail application but the court will hear it on August 23.
Parasram’s lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani’s arguments in the Supreme Court formed the basis of all these bails.
Significantly, Jethmalani had argued in the court that the trial started four years after the filing of the case and Bishnoi was in judicial custody since 2012.
He had further argued that the evidence relating to him had already been completed by the court and there was nothing left on his part to prevent him from granting bail.
Sanjay Bishnoi, an advocate for the petitioners, said, “On this basis, we argued that they have served more than 9 years in judicial custody and have no clue about the conclusion of the trial.”
Accepting the arguments, Justice Dinesh Mehta granted bail to all the six accused, listing Maderna’s plea for hearing on August 23.
Other accused currently in judicial custody include Malkhan Singh Bishnoi and his sister Indra Bishnoi, Bishnaram Bishnoi, Kailash Jakhar, Shahabuddin, Amarchand (husband of Bhanwari Devi) and two others.
They can file bail applications any time soon after considering the order of the top court after the High Court has allowed bail applications.
