Best Agrolife’s first quarter profit more than tripled to Rs 26 crore

Agrochemical firm Best Agrolife Ltd’s net profit jumped three-fold to Rs 25.78 crore in the quarter ended June, from Rs 7.24 crore in the year-ago period. However, total income declined to Rs 345.37 crore in the April-June quarter from Rs 364.86 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Vimal Alawadhi, Managing Director, Best Agrolife Ltd. said, “Our company is now starting to see the benefits of our tremendous efforts in innovation, research, backward integration and good execution.”

Recently, Best AgroLife received a patent for an insecticide formulation to control sucking pests such as the whitefly.

It will start commercial manufacturing in January next year and is targeting an additional Rs 400 crore sales revenue from this new product in the 2022-23 financial year.

Best Agrolife Limited has three plants in Uttar Pradesh and Jammu. It is into manufacturing of technical, intermediate and formulation businesses of insecticide, fungicide and herbicide among others.
