Bengaluru: A Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable saved the life of a 32-year-old woman, who was hit by a train while crossing a nearby railway track. Yelahanka Monday afternoon in Bangalore.
Ashish Kumar was patrolling the tracks between Yelahanka and Rajnukunte When they saw the woman trapped under the loco Tuticorin – Okha Vivek Express. She had apparently fallen on the tracks while crossing it. Alerted by Kumar, the train immediately stopped but could not avoid hitting him.
Kumar along with other railway police personnel and residents pulled out the woman. He had suffered minor injuries.
“Kumar alerted the officials without any delay. Being stuck under the loco, he could not get it out on his own.
