Six people were injured after country-made bombs were hurled at a clash between two groups of Trinamool Congress in West Bengal’s Birbhum district on Tuesday. Local sources gave this information. He told that the incident is of Gaara-Paduma village of Dubrajpur police station area, when a team of Block Development Officer’s office was visiting the area for survey regarding the government housing scheme.

He said crude bombs were thrown and firearms were “used”, injuring six people.

The injured were admitted to Suri Hospital for treatment.

Superintendent of Police Nagendranath Tripathi said, “Seven people have been arrested in connection with the incident. Two firearms have been seized. The situation is now under control.”

The TMC said that the party is not involved in the violence in any way.

Trinamool Congress district president Anubrata Mondal said, “It was not a political clash, the police should take necessary action.”

Dubrajpur BJP MLA Anoop Saha claimed that two groups of TMC involved in various types of corruption clashed.
