Belagavi: A group of 20-25 men allegedly attacked a youth and a woman from different communities and robbed their cell phone and Rs 50,000 in the outskirts. Belagavi Last week.

The victims alleged that the four men asked the woman why she was traveling with a man of other religion and started thrashing her. The driver allegedly took his vehicle to a secluded area on the outskirts where 20-25 other people had gathered.
They attacked the two and took away Rs 50,000, a cellphone, Aadhar card and other valuable documents from them. DCP (Law and Order) Vikram Amte said that more details cannot be shared as the matter is under investigation.
