Before the winter assembly session, CM Thackeray’s visit to the Vidhan Bhavan, sparked tongue

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will attend the winter assembly session to be held in Mumbai from December 22. This is despite his recent spine surgery and he is being advised rest to recover. The CM has been advised by his doctors not to fly after recovering. But since the chief minister is keen to attend the winter session, which is as per the convention held in Nagpur, the cabinet decided to shift the venue of the winter session from Nagpur to Mumbai keeping in mind his health.

The winter session will continue till December 28. Sources close to the government say that the CM quietly visited the Vidhan Bhavan and went inside on Friday. The fact that CM Thackeray’s visit to the assembly building comes days before the start of the winter session, the opposition is using the CM’s secret visit to fuel speculation and allegations.

BJP MLA Nitesh Rane posted a tweet on Saturday confirming the news that the CM did indeed visit the Vidhan Bhavan. Union MSME Minister Narayan Rane’s son said in his tweet, “If Maha CM went to Vidhan Bhavan then it is good news but when he was there why CCTV was switched off? Why were the assembly staff asked to leave by 6 pm? Is it Raj?” Rane alleges that the staff of Vidhan Bhavan were asked to leave early as the CM was about to leave for Vidhan Bhavan and the CCTV of the premises was also switched off during his visit. Was anything like that done now, and Is this against the protocol? Well, the answer will be clear only after getting an official response on the matter. For now, it is speculated that CM Thackeray, who is recovering from surgery, will be on December 22 for the winter session. Wanted to do a mock endurance test before climbing the stairs of Vidhan Bhavan.
