New Delhi: The Indian Cricket Board will have a new CEO in the coming months, a position which was vacated by Rahul Johri Last year.
Five BCCI office bearers including president Sourav Ganguly, Secretary Jay Shah, Vice President Rajiv Shuklatreasurer Arun Dhumal And Joint Secretary Jayesh George discussed several issues here on Saturday and the appointment of full time CEO was one of them.
Currently, IPL’s Chief Operating Officer Hemang Amin is the interim CEO.
A BCCI official said, “We will have a new CEO soon and we are currently discussing the process of appointment. In Rahul’s time, we had a prime hunting agency. We will do the same thing or go straight. Will ask for application.” The source told PTI on conditions of anonymity.
The eligibility criteria for the post of BCCI CEO is more than 10 years of experience of working in a top management position in a company with an annual turnover of Rs 100 crores.
Can Hemang Amin apply if he wants?
“Yes, Hemang will also have to apply for this post if he/she is willing. To my knowledge his application will not be automatically accepted.”

It is learned that representatives of Price Waterhouse Coopers gave an extensive presentation on the new National Cricket Academy, which will be built out of the Chinnaswamy Stadium complex in a few years and will be built on the land that the BCCI had bought.
