BCCI President Sourav Ganguly would prefer Sachin Tendulkar on board if there is no ‘struggle’

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has revealed that he might bring master blaster Sachin Tendulkar on board. Ganguly has overseen a number of appointments in the CAB and BCCI during his administrative role which included his Indian team colleagues. VVS Laxman, who was appointed as the batting coach of the Bengal Ranji Trophy team, was promoted to the post of the new NCA chief after Rahul Dravid vacated the seat. Meanwhile, The Wall took over as the head coach of the Indian cricket team and Dada played an important role there as well. Not to forget, Dravid was also appointed as the NCA chief under Dada. Seeing this trend, it seems that Sachin Tendulkar is at the forefront!

So are the fans going to see Sachin in BCCI?

“Sachin is obviously a little different. He doesn’t want to be involved in all this. I am sure that with Sachin getting involved in Indian cricket in some way, it couldn’t be better news,” he told Boria Majumdar on his show ‘Backstage with Boria’.

Apart from this, he also highlighted the recent struggle of issues which keep coming in the news. Ganguly said Tendulkar’s transition can be easy only if no one files a conflict of interest case against him.

“How clearly needs to work. Because there is too much conflict all around. Right or wrong, whatever you do and whatever you do, you have the word ‘struggle’ jumping out the window, some of which I find really unrealistic. So you have to look at the best way to engage the best talent in the game. And sometime Sachin will also find a way to join Indian cricket.”

More recently, Rahul Dravid has taken over the role of the head coach of the Indian team, but it requires a lot of persuasion from the BCCI President. Dada has previously said how Dravid did not want to be on the road – necessary for Indian cricket to serve as a head coach. He said that he had left Dravid before he changed his mind.
