BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has announced a grand prize money for Team India for winning the T20 World Cup 2024. The Rohit Sharma-led side clinched a thrilling 7-run win against South Africa at Kensington Oval to be crowned as the new T20 Word Champions on Saturday.
A day after India’s historic win in the West Indies, BCCI secretary Shah has announced a prize money of INR 125 crore for the team for its unbeaten streak in the showpiece event.
“I am pleased to announce prize money of INR 125 Crores for Team India for winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The team has showcased exceptional talent, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Congratulations to all the players, coaches, and support staff for this outstanding achievement,” Shah’s post read.
