Late music icon Bappi Lahiri’s first birth anniversary is in London on November 27 World Book of Records (WBR) announced a special cover and postage stamp in his honour. Swastika, popularly known as Regobi – who is also a singer – cut the cake to mark her grandfather’s birth anniversary. He said, “I miss Dadaji. “I have known Bappi da for decades. His energy and his enthusiasm was always contagious. This stamp and cover is our small contribution to this legend.” Khan said, “We wanted to honor Bappi da when he was with us. It is unfortunate that we have to release this without his physical presence. We are happy that his wife Chitrani Lahiri ji will receive it posthumously on his behalf. It is an honor for us to know Bappi Da and learn a lot from him.” He also expressed that WBR would host an event to celebrate the release of the postage stamp and cover.
