Illegal liquor, cash and narcotics worth over Rs 93 lakh were seized in two assembly constituencies of Rajasthan. Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said that after the announcement of election schedule for Vallabhnagar assembly seat of Udaipur and Dhariyawad assembly seat of Pratapgarh, various narcotics worth Rs 93.92 lakh have been seized.
The narcotics seized by the vigilance agencies include Rs 29.62 lakh in cash, illicit liquor worth Rs 42.27 lakh and narcotics worth Rs 3.49 lakh. He said 18 other suspicious items worth over Rs 53,000 were also seized.
Voting for both the assembly seats will be held on October 30, while the counting of votes will take place on November 2. A total of 5.11 lakh voters in both the assemblies, in Vallabhnagar, 2.53 lakh voters exercised their franchise. and 2.57 lakh in Dhariyavad.
