Bank holidays in November 2021: Banks will remain closed for 17 days this month, check list

The month of November is the month of festivals. There are many festivals in November including Diwali, Bhaiya Dooj, Govardhan Puja and Chhath Puja. In such a situation, banks will be closed on festivals. According to the RBI calendar, there will be holidays on different days in different states. According to the notification, banks in Bengaluru and Imphal will remain closed on November 1 due to Kannada Rajyotsava in November. Also, banks will not function in Bengaluru on 3rd November due to Naraka Chaturdashi.

When will there be holidays in Bihar (Public Holiday in Bihar / Bank Holiday in Bihar)

  • Public holiday on Deepawali on 4th November and 5th November 2021
  • Bhai Dooj holiday – November 6, 2021.
  • Banks will remain closed in Patna and Ranchi on the occasion of Chhath Puja – November 10 and 11, 2021.
  • The second Saturday of the month on 13 November 2021 is a holiday.
  • Guru Nanak Jayanti holiday on November 19, 2021.
  • The fourth Saturday will be a holiday on 27 November 2021.

Government Holidays in Uttar Pradesh (Public Holidays in UP/Bank Holidays in UP)

  • Diwali holiday – November 4 and November 5, 2021.
  • Bhai Dooj holiday on November 6, 2021.
  • The second Saturday of the month on 13 November 2021 is a holiday.
  • Guru Nanak Jayanti holiday on November 19, 2021.
  • November 27, 2021 being the fourth Saturday will be a holiday.

Also, November 7, 14, 21 and 28 will be Sunday holidays.

Important holidays in other states

  • Apart from Diwali, Bhai Dooj and Guru Nanak Jayanti, all banks in Meghalaya will remain closed on November 12 on account of the Wangala festival.
  • There will also be a holiday in Meghalaya on November 23 on the occasion of Seng Kut Snem.
  • Banks will remain closed in Karnataka on November 22 on the occasion of Kanakadas Jayanti.
