Bank Holidays in July 2022: Banks will remain closed for a total of 14 days (including weekend holidays) in some parts of India for the month of July 2022. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), bank holidays in July may vary across states and regions. Although there are a total of 14 bank holidays in July 2022, it will not be applicable to all branches. It basically varies according to the dates of festivals in different states.

Account holders can continue to use net banking and mobile banking for bank related functions irrespective of the listed bank holidays.

According to RBI, bank holidays are divided into three categories –

  • Leave under Negotiable Instruments Act
  • Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Leave
  • closing bank accounts

Banks across India will be closed on weekends (every Sunday and 2nd and 4th Saturdays) except on specified holidays.
