During April 2023, many private and public sector banks in India will remain closed for a total of 15 days, including weekends, due to bank holidays. The closure will be as per the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and will include second and fourth Saturdays as well as Sundays.

According to the official holiday calendar of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), both public and private sector banks in India will be closed for Eid-ul-Fitr or Ramzan Eid/Garia Puja/Jumat-ul-Vida on Friday, April 21. , and for Eid-ul-Fitr or Ramzan Eid on Saturday, April 22. However, some areas including Agartala, Jammu, Kochi, Srinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram will have a holiday only on April 21, while others such as Belapur, Bhopal, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong and Srinagar will remain closed on both April 21 and April 22.
