Kolkata : West Bengal The CID has arrested a “wanted Bangladeshi terrorist” from a rented house in North 24 Parganas district, a senior official said on Monday.
Noor Nabi Maxon, who was “part of a terrorist organization in a neighboring country”, identified himself as Tamal Chowdhury and presented fake documents to rent the house. Madhyamgram area, the CID official said.
Based on information received from the Bangladeshi agency, state CID officials conducted raids on Saturday night and arrested him from a hideout in Madhyamgram, the official said.
During the arrest, several documents were seized from his possession, a passport valid from July 15, 2021 to July 14, 2031, along with cash, he said.
“There are 17 cases registered against Maxon, including some for murder and theft,” he said.
