Bangladesh vs Pakistan, 2nd Test, Day 5 Highlights: Sajid Khan helps Pakistan 2-0 in clean sweep series

Pakistan bowlers took 13 wickets on the final day to win the second Test against Bangladesh by an innings and eight runs to win the series 2-0 on Wednesday.

Electing to bat after winning the toss, Pakistan posted a score of 300-4, in which only 215 overs could be bowled, before declaring their first innings in this match played at the Shere Bangla Stadium in Mirpur.

Their bowlers, led by spin all-rounder Sajid Khan, infused fresh excitement into the competition as they beat Bangladesh 76-7 on Tuesday.

After the game resumed on Wednesday, Pakistan bundled out Bangladesh for 87 and enforced a follow-on.

Bangladesh were all out for 205 in their second innings but their superior batting performance was not enough.

On Tuesday, off-spinner Sajid Khan claimed a career-best 6-35 as Pakistan reduced Bangladesh to 76-7 and created a glimmer of hope of forcing a result in the second and final Test on Tuesday.

Rain and bad light have consumed much of the game and only 63.2 overs have been possible in the last three days. After the third day was washed out, Pakistan resumed the fourth day at 188-2 and declared at 300-4 after lunch. Then spinners Sajid and Nauman Ali got the job done until the stumps were called an hour earlier due to bad light.

With enough light to allow pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi just over an over, Sajid and Nauman bowled relentlessly in a desperate bid to win the rain-hit game.

Nauman was a bit lucky, ending up without a wicket, but he delivered the control that allowed Sajid to rip through the Bangladesh lineup. Sajid dismissed everyone except captain Mominul Haque, who was dismissed for 1 by a direct hit from Hasan Ali.

Opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy got a duck on his debut after poked a flight delivery for slip, and his opening partner Shadman Islam was amazed by the extra bounce. Mominul was run out and Bangladesh went 22-3 for tea.

Veteran batsman Mushfiqur Rahim deepened the crisis by playing a slog-sweep to gift his wicket at 5.
