‘Bangla’ in Uttarakhand campaign, Mamta’s name ‘complaint’ with Bengalis of Devbhoomi

The Bengali issue had also cropped up in the Uttarakhand elections. Courtesy of BJP All India President JP Nadda. Uttarakhand is currently ruled by BJP. However, Gerua Shibir has been forced to change chief minister thrice in the last few months. That’s why the Padma Shibir is under a lot of pressure in this state before the elections. And so BJP is desperate to capture this state by all means. And so Nadda sees the refugee Bengali community in Uttarakhand. And while addressing a gathering of Bengalis, Nadda slammed Mamata Banerjee’s government. JP Nadda attended a function with Bengalis in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. There he expressed concern about West Bengal.

Speaking at a function in Rudrapur on Tuesday, Naddar demanded that refugees from Uttarakhand be touched by Bengali sentiments, adding that the BJP had given shelter to refugees in Bengal. Nadda also raised the issue of the amended citizenship law. Then Nadda said in the tone of complaint in the name of Mamta, ‘Bangla is going through a very difficult phase now. There is corruption, there is political enmity, there is oppression and there is anarchy. Meanwhile, with reference to the amended citizenship law, Nadda said that the BJP has kept its promise of giving citizenship to minorities from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan in India.

Incidentally, ever since Mamata Banerjee became the Chief Minister of Bengal for the third time, the opposition BJP has been accusing the ruling party of terrorism. Gerua Shibir has alleged that BJP workers are being harassed. The issue of terrorism has been taken to court after the vote. From there the investigation of these allegations has been handed over to the CBI. So Nadda asked the Bengalis of Devbhoomi to complain in the name of the Bengali Chief Minister. However, the ruling Trinamool Congress is yet to comment on Naddar’s remarks in Uttarakhand.
